Canadian Politics

December 9, 2008 · Leave a Comment

The events of the past week a prorogue of the parliament, coalition of the unlikely, and now leader by default what’s next.

Well let me tell you Bob Rae did the right thing stepping out of the race for Interim and the Leadership of the Liberal party.  There are too many people who still hold a grudge back to the rae days of the late 90’s even though that strategy saved alot of those affected there lively hoods.

Michael Ignatieff is the perfect person to guide the Liberal Party through the time they need to rebuild in opposition my guess this will be another 5 years remember the last oppostion stint Mulroney ran the country for 8yrs it seems the Conservatives when they obtain power every 15-20 years lately the party can only hold it for a relatively short period of time .

Ignatieff will never be Prime Minister he will only hold the fort for the upcoming leader that will eventually lead the Liberals back to majority power i am referring to Kennedy and of course Trudeau a very familiar name that will resonate throughout Canada in say 5 years or 2014.

As is stands right now the Liberals are poised for defeat with either Bob or Micheal as leader there are as many people who will not vote for Bob  Rae in Ontario as there would be people who could not consider voting for Micheal Ignatieff either way being Liberal leader right now is a losing proposition and alot of backbench…..

Highway of Heroes

December 8, 2008 · Leave a Comment

Canada we have now reached the 100 milestone in Afghanistan this number represents our fallen heroes. These brave men and women our modern day soldiers who have passed fighting for a world we take for granted.

God Bless these souls making the ultimate sacrifice. Afghanistan is now a safer place adavances have been made in many areas children boys and girls are now able to go to school although there is still alot of work to be done.

One this must be remembered none of this could have happened without the Canadian Military our true north strong and free. To ensure the gains made as a country in Afghanistan are kept we as a people have to make our politicians aware these sacrifices are not for nothing.

Our ever changing country is looked as a catechism for the world this is a tall order are we up to the challenge.

Canada and the world need to press our governments to ensure Afghanistan doesn’t fail as war will not change all.  A combination of  policies, economic stimulus and intervention is needed to create a new democratic Afghanistan state.

To those fallen and Injured, I cant imagine the stresses you endured words cannot describe it on behalf of my family  I personally thank you.

October 30, 2008 · Leave a Comment

Finding the right balance for you and understanding Vitamins Supplements and Antioxidants, read on….

The pigment that give vegetables and fruits the beautiful colours they have is called Lycopene. This pigment has strong antioxidant capabilities some studies show Lycopene is associated with a lower risk of prostate cancer and cardiovascular disease.

Can Lycopene be easily enjoyed in you daily routine well if you like fruits and vegetable tomatoes watermelon and pink grapefuits then you should have no problem getting this antioxidant into your system. The more antioxidants the more fighting capacity you have against free radicals right?

All vitamins to some varying degree have been found to be good for you. They assist your bodies natural defense mechanisms and protect you from free radicals that break down cells in your system.

It is wise to maintain a certain level of vitamins D C E and A, these vitamins have been studied and have shown to have many benefits. During certain times of the year when food comes from overseas we should take vitamin supplements to increase our content therefore ensuring we do not become deficient.

Having the right amount of vitamins in your diet can make the difference between being tired and sleepy or awake and energized.
