The city  of Toronto has a Water saver rebate program for Residential and Business toilet and washing machines.  This program is offering rebates of $60. – $75.00 for those interested in replacing old toilets, washing machines. This one is a no brainer why waste water unecessarily….

Serving Sizes

I don’t know about you, but this is something that i found to help me to manage my fruit and veggie serving sizes:

1 serving is:                                                                       

  • 1 medium sized veggie or fruit  
  • -> a banana, apple or carrot
  • 1/2 cup (125 mL) raw, cooked, frozen, or canned veggie or fruit   
  • -> scoop of peas, small bowl of sliced peaches or grapes
  • 1 cup (250 mL) green salad
  • -> a small side salad the size of your fist
  • 1/2 cup (125 mL) juice
  • -> a small glass of orange juice or 1/2 tetra juice box
  • 1/4 cup (50 mL) dried fruit
  • -> a small box of raisins
