This is a super salad to take with you on a summer outing. Another great simple source of fibre with little preparation time.
Ingredients:
- 1 to 2 cans of mixed bean salad medley drained.
- 1 to 2 cups fresh yellow or green beans.
Boil the fresh green or yellow beans for approx 10 to 15 min depending on how you like your vegtables cooked.
Drain the Yellow/Green beans let stand and cool off, Once you are ready to make your salad add some Wine or White vinegar or even Balsamic vinegar. Use the spices of your choice, I like to use italian seasonings consisting of
- Oregano, Salt
- Marjoram, Rosemary
- Thyme, Basil and Sage
You can purchase an already prepared Italian Seasoning for convenience i find this the easier option. This is a great alternative to an iceberg or romaine lettuce salad.
Be sure to rate and post any variations you have…..
