It all started back in 1967, Toronto’s Caribbean community’s gave this world renowned event to salute Canada’s Centennial year. Now in its second millennium, Toronto Caribbean Carnival (Caribana) Festival is one of North America’s greatest celebrations, attracting an estimated million participants annually.
The origin of the festival we enjoy today is Rooted in Trinidad and Tobago Carnival. Our Caribbean Festival has become an international festival where you might experience a wide variety of music such as Jamaican reggae, Brazilian samba or African djembe rhythms alongside Latin salsa, Haitian zouk or urban sounds, all are blended with calypso and soca vibes.
The Festival takes place over a whole week and traditionally coincides with the Ontario statutory holiday Simcoe Day (the 1st monday of August). This holiday named after John Graves Simcoe who along with other is credited with abolishing slavery in Upper Canada in 1810.
Caribana is definitely Toronto’s largest and best known festival. Each summer-time visitors come from all over the world to see the Biggest Mas Festival outside of Brazil . The Parade takes place over 5 hours from start to finish and the party on Olympic island is an event all by itself with many types of entertainment.
Have you made your arrangements today its a mistake to leave it to the last minute as visitors come back year over year and book there hotels well in advance 12 months in some cases!

The Endless Resource…
Time we long for it, we are governed by it, we can never get enough of it. “We think we are running out of it”, how right we are unless we harness it we will never catch up to it. Time the endless resource that passes us by unless we take control of it.

Vitamin A
It’s one of the most versatile vitamins, with roles in such diverse functions as vision, immune defenses, maintenance of body linings and skin, bone and body growth, normal cell development, and reproduction. Vitamin A helps form and maintains healthy teeth, skeletal and soft tissue, mucous membranes, and skin.
Vitamins and Mineral supplements are vital to a healthy diet especially More so today than yester-year.
The value of today’s foods is questionable storing foods for long times will reduce vitamin levels mineral levels are equally reduced as the soil food is grown in has less value due to overuse as farmers are consistently planting crops to ensure maximum harvest.
